PARISH EUCHARIST is the main service of the week with organ, choir (except in August) altar servers to help with the ritual to enhance our worship. In term time, young people are invited to YOUNG LIONS in the Hall shortly after the start of the service, returning for the communion.

The climax of the service is when all invited to the altar rail. Those who are confirmed receive the bread and wine as the body and blood of Jesus. Others (please keep your hands by your side) receive a personal blessing from the priest.

Afterwards, we enjoy a chat over a cup of coffee in the Hall, where the FAIRTRADE stall is available usually on the last Sunday of the month. On the second Sunday some people join together to discuss the sermon.

WEEKDAY MASS is a devotional, quiet time of worship lasting about half an hour and usually held in the Lady Chapel.

Afterwards on a Thursday we often enjoy a cuppa in the Hall kitchen!

EVENING PRAYER is a short, devotional service without music following the order for the day from the Book of Common Worship, usually led by churchwarden Michael Longdon, and generally held in the Lady Chapel.

YOUNG LIONS (children and teenagers) start off in the service but are soon invited over to the Hall for all sorts of fun activities on a Christian theme. They return to the service in time for the communion.

OUR CHOIR leads the worship every Sunday morning and at other times as advertised. Encouraged by Director of Music Roger Parker, numbers, particularly of young choristers, have grown in recent months.

The choir practises most Thursday's at 7.30pm in Church and 9am in the Hall on Sunday's. New faces welcome!

THE BOYS' BRIGADE, a strong tradition at St Mark's, meet on Monday's in the Henley Community Hall at 7.30pm, led by Captain John Irons. Their activities tend to be challenging and exciting! Unfortunately, the Anchors and Juniors are not meeting at present due to a shortage of leaders. If you are interested, please contact captain Irons (who is also churchwarden).

GUIDES & BROWNIES meet in the Hall on Friday evenings, providing stimulating activities for girls and young ladies. Unfortunately, the Rainbows for the younger ones is currently not operating owing to a shortage of leaders.

The Indoor Car Boot takes place every Thursday in the Henley Community Hall from 12 noon. In addition to raising thousands of pounds to help the work of St Mark's Church, it has proved to be a popular meeting place over a cuppa and a sandwich.

The Tuesday Celebration is for pre-school children, babies and adults. It takes place in St Mark's Church where there are plenty of toys to keep the youngsters entertained while the adults have a chat. Light refreshments for all. Finishing with a short act of worship with special songs for the little ones.

The Tuesday Fun Club is 45 minutes of a good time for school age children and their carers, concluding with Time for God. On the second Tuesday of the month, the same day as the Celebration but starting at 3.45pm.
