Tristan's Baptism
After a great deal of thought, St Mark's chorister Tristan (seen above in November 2010 with choir member Barbara, his Mum and Dad and sister Caitlin)
decided he wished to be baptised. Revd Valerie Sharpe discussed this with Tristan and prepared him for this important step in faith.
Sunday 20 February 2011 was the big day! Supported by his family as well as the choir and congregation, Tristan was baptised by
Revd Valerie Sharpe in a magnificent service including a thought provoking story by Reader Malcolm Robertson. Tristan
added to the heavenly atmosphere when he sang the first verse of 'Just as I am' during the communion.
Afterwards in the Hall the celebrations continued with a feast provided by Tristan's parents including a special cake for the occasion. Please see below.
