SNOW AT ST MARK'S

The winter of 2009/2010 will be remembered for the cold and . . . the snow!

Just when we thought we were through the worst, a heavy snow fall in the early morning of Sunday 21st February caused more havoc on the roads and a reduced congregation for morning Mass, though those present were treated to an inspiring service. An added problem was that the heating failed to turn on! The first ten photographs below were taken on that occasion.

Photographs 11 to 13 show our Christmas candlelight service on the evening of Sunday 20th December when there had been a heavy fall of snow in the afternoon. Those present sat in the choir stalls and found the mixture of readings and music most moving.
