Young people at St Mark's Lads at the sleep out

Being aware of the particular needs of children and teenagers is an important aspect of life at St. Mark's. After all, our young people are the church of the future!

Here is a summary of what happens:

Play area in St Mark's
  • Schools are encouraged to come along for 'hands-on' learning sessions, and for school worship on special occasions
  • St. Mark's Lions (YOUNG LIONS) enjoy learning and laughter on Sundays and extra activities from time to time. To find out more CLICK
  • For babies and toddlers who remain in the service, boxes of soft toys are available for them to play with either in their seat or at the back of the Church, where there is a play area. The Hall, one minute away across the car park, is usually open to let off steam. Toilets are situated there.
  • NEW FOR 2012: Monthly Fun Club for primary aged children and their carers. Second Tuesday of the month from 3.45 to 4.30pm. (Same dates as Celebration below). More information HERE
  • Celebration for children, adults and families takes place on the second Tuesday of the month at 2pm. While the youngsters play, the adults enjoy a chat. Light refreshments for all, concluding with a short act of worship with special songs for the little ones. More information HERE
  • Young people are encouraged to join the CHOIR or SERVING TEAM
  • Uniformed organisations are linked to the Church and meet on weekdays in the Henley Community Hall across the car park.
